  • ADD KEY POINTS HERE

    • Sport always reveals character.

    • Sport can become character-building, when we are intentional.

    • IM Edge starts with identity because everything else grows from it.

    • You leave an impression everywhere you go, whether you intend to or not.

    • Growth doesn't happen alone.

    • You do not need to have this all figured out—just a willingness to ask the right questions.

Before we talk about what you do…
    Before we talk about performance…
Before we talk about winning, losing, or getting better at your sport…

We need to talk about who you are.

Because there’s a phrase that gets repeated all the time in sports.

People say that sport builds character.

    And that’s true — but it’s incomplete.

Many coaches and top athletes will also tell you something else.
They’ll say that sport doesn’t actually build character.

    It reveals it.

And we believe both are true.

    Sport is always character-revealing.
Pressure has a way of exposing what’s already inside you —
your habits, your mindset, your responses, your values.

And because sport reveals character so clearly,
it also has the power to build it —
    if you’re intentional.

That belief sits at the center of IM Edge.

Because if sport is always revealing who you are,
then identity has to be the foundation of growth.

    IMPRESSIONS & IDENTITY

Whether you realize it or not,
you leave an impression everywhere you go.

    On your teammates.
    On your coaches.
    On your family.
On the people watching you when you don’t think anyone’s paying attention.

The question is not if you leave an impression.
    The question is what kind.

And sport doesn’t wait until you’re ready.
It reveals you in real time —
when you’re tired, frustrated, overlooked, or under pressure.

    That’s why we start here.

And before we go any further, hear this clearly:

You don’t have to have this figured out yet.

This isn’t about having the right answers.
It’s about being willing to ask the right questions.

    WHAT IM EDGE IS

IM Edge exists for one simple reason.

Sport is an incredible classroom for life.
But only if we’re intentional about what it’s actually teaching us.

IM Edge is not about adding more pressure.
It’s not about turning you into someone you’re not.
And it’s definitely not about being perfect.

It’s about helping you understand who you are,
    how you respond under pressure,
and the impact you have on the people around you.

    Because performance fades.
    Stats get forgotten.
    Seasons end.

    But character multiplies.

    WHY WE START WITH IDENTITY

A lot of programs start with skills.

    We don’t.

    We start with identity.

    Because identity shapes:

    • how you handle success

    • how you respond to failure

    • how you treat people

    • how you lead

    • and how you show up when things don’t go your way

Sport has a way of revealing who we are under pressure.
Not who we say we are —
but who we actually are when it’s hard.

That’s not something to be afraid of.
    That’s an opportunity.

And that’s why we’ll stay here for a while.

Because real growth doesn’t come from rushing past identity —
it comes from digging into it.

And remember this as you move through IM Edge:

    You’re not being evaluated here.
    You’re being formed.

    THE C4 FRAMEWORK

Everything we do in IM Edge flows through four pillars.

    Core. Care. Connection. Community.

Core is about who you are and what you stand for.
Care is about how you take care of yourself — mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Connection is about the quality of your relationships.
Community is about contributing to something bigger than yourself.

    These aren’t just ideas.
    They’re lenses.

They help you make decisions when things get confusing.
They help you stay grounded when things get intense.
And they help you grow in ways that last long after sport.

    SPORT AS A CLASSROOM

    Here’s the truth.

Sport will put you in every role imaginable.

    You’ll be the starter.
    You’ll be the substitute.
    You might be injured.
    You might be struggling.
    You might be the leader.
You might be fighting for your place.

Every one of those roles reveals something —
and every one of those roles can shape something —
    if you’re paying attention.

IM Edge helps you slow down enough to ask:

What is this season shaping in me?
    What habits am I forming?
What kind of teammate am I becoming?

Because one day, sport will end.

    And when it does,
who you’ve become will matter far more than what you achieved.

    THIS WEEK’S FOCUS

    This week is simple.

    We’re starting with identity.

I want you to think about three things.

    First:
When people describe you, what do you hope they say?

    Second:
Why do you play your sport right now?
Not the answer you think you’re supposed to give.
    The honest one.

    Third:
Choose one word you want to grow into this season.

    Not ten words.
    Not a phrase.
    One word.

That word will become an anchor for you.

    RELATIONAL CHALLENGE

But here’s the most important part.

    Growth doesn’t happen alone.

So this week, you’re not just reflecting —
    you’re connecting.

You’ll share your one word with your accountability partner.
You’ll talk about why you chose it.
You’ll ask someone at home why they think you play your sport.
And you’ll ask a mentor or coach what they see in you beyond performance.

    These conversations matter.

    They turn ideas into relationships.
    And relationships into growth.

    CLOSING

IM Edge is not about changing who you are overnight.

It’s about becoming more intentional —
    one decision,
    one conversation,
    one season at a time.

    This week, show up honestly.
    Listen more than you talk.
And start paying attention to the impression you leave.

    Because who you’re becoming…
    is already in motion.
